James Perry

James David Perry, Sr., 69, passed away April 8, 2024, at his residence. Born October 22, 1954, in Muncie, Indiana. He loved fishing, cooking, and enjoying the company of his family and friends. James was loving, encouraging, loyal, hardworking, selfless, humorous, and cherished and love by all who knew him.

Preceded in death by his parents, Donald Perry Sr. & Lola Haskins; brothers, Donald Perry Jr., Richard Perry, and Ronald Perry; sister, Betty Delk, and son, James Perry, Jr.

He is survived by his wife, Cynthia Wells -Perry; sons, Charles Michael (Amber) Perry and Damien Hicks; daughters, Christy (Mac) Perry-McKenzie, and Karen Tatum; siblings, Sandra (Robert) Dye, John (Andrea) Perry, Joseph (Loretta) Perry, Jola (Jerry) Williams, and Brian (Karen) Haskins; sister-in-law, Lisa Perry; grandchildren, Courtney Perry, Brianna Jacobs, Lance McKenzie, Eden Perry, Vincent Perry, Felesha Pemberton, and Gage Strickland; great-grandchildren, Kehlani Hart, Aiden Smith, and Emory Shahan; several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family ask that donations be made to a local non-profit agency.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
