James Peeler

James David Peeler, 71, of McMinn County went to his heavenly home on February 13, 2024 surrounded by his family. He was born on November 21, 1952. He was an avid outdoorsman and adventurous. He was most at home in the mountains watching eagles soar and hiking to our waterfalls in east Tennessee.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Earl and Eva Irene (Rogers) Peeler and siblings, Gilbert Peeler, Dewayne Peeler and Glenna Carter.

James is survived by his first wife, Joyce Peeler Keith; children, Charmin (husband, Frankie) Branam, David Earl Peeler, Leisty Lee Peeler; grandchildren, Destiny (husband, Sean) Wilcox, Tyler Peeler, Trevor Henry, Austin (wife, Jamie) Peeler, Kevin Huckabey, Lexus Huckabey; seven great grandchildren; siblings, Earlene Womac, Lavoda Peeler, Ruth Valentine, Patsy Devins, Loretta Peeler, Charolette Croft, Vitalee Garrett, and Gordon Peeler.

A private family visitation will take place.
