James (Jim) Delmar Musselwhite was called home on August the 18th. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. James was born in Fort Myers, FL on May the 3rd 1935 and spent his childhood in Florida before moving to Tennessee in the early 1950’s. He met his wife Alma Jo here and they were married for 66 years, raising five children. Jim served his country in the United States Army achieving the rank of SP5. He worked as an electrician for nearly fifty years before retiring. He loved hunting, fishing, playing golf, the Tennessee Vols, and the Atlanta Braves.
James was preceded in death by his parents Wilton and Dorothy; siblings, Eugene, Alec, and Winnie; and his daughter, Tammy.
He is survived by his wife Alma Jo (Corvin) Musselwhite; his children, Lynn, Ginger, Jay, and Jody with his wife Lisa; grandchildren, Alicia (Jeremy) Fox, Crystal (David) Mashburn, Jessica (Levon) Ivey, Jennifer (Anthony) Keith, Thadd Musselwhite, Trent Musselwhite, James Musselwhite, Jeremy Leonard, Amanda Leonard, Christian Musselwhite, Ashton Musselwhite, and Ryan (Brooke) Linden; his great grandchildren, Haley Fox, Jake Fox, Megan Fox, Olivia Mashburn, Adrian Ivey, Charlie Ivey, Tuff Ivey, Julia Ivey, Grace Ivey, Rooster Ivey, Preston Linden, Kinsley Linden, Ryker Keith, and Bennett Keith; Dennis, Carol, and Mike; and his beloved dog, Daisy; along with a host of extended family and friends.
A celebration of life service will be held on Friday, August 25, 2023 at 7:00 pm at Companion Funeral Home of Cleveland with Pastor Chuck Defreice officiating. The family will be receiving friends from 4:00pm – 7:00 pm prior to the service.
