James (J.L.) Clark, 76, of Cleveland died Saturday, October 23, 2021, at his residence after a long-fought battle with cancer.
He was a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was 32nd Degree Mason. He enjoyed gardening, Western movies, football, traveling, and his R.O.M.E.O. Breakfasts.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Marion Clark of Cleveland, his parents, J.B. and Ruby Clark and his sister, Alma Knight all of Calhoun.
He is survived by his children: Jay (Jennifer) Clark, Sherry Clark Farmer all of Cleveland, Curtis (Jeannine) Clark of Benton, Daniel Mckinzey of Chattanooga, and Kelli Bryson of Cleveland; grandchildren: Courtney Clark, Chris Clark, Jacob (Cally) Clark, Brooklyn (Cameron) Sewell, Dawson Hindmon, Victoria (Caleb) Powell, Madison Farmer, Emma Clark, Jesse Clark, Anna Clark and Mia Mckinzey; great-grandchildren: Jackson Ross, Carter Fletcher, Ember Sewell, and Carson Clark.
The family will be receiving friends for a walk-through visitation from 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday, October 26, 2021, at Companion Funeral Home in Cleveland. Doyle Hawkins will be officiating a graveside service at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, October 27, 2021, at the Calhoun Cemetery by First Baptist Church.
