James “Jimmy” Norman Farmer, 49, a lifelong resident of Athens, TN passed away on Wednesday, October 30, 2019 in a local hospital. He was born on April 29, 1970. Jimmy was of the Baptist faith and a member of Short Creek Baptist Church. He worked for many years in the HVAC industry. Jimmy loved hunting and fishing in his spare time.
He is preceded in death by his mother Carolyn C. Phillips Farmer, sister Tina Renee Griffin, grandparents Robert Norman Farmer Sr., Dorothy Ann Colbaugh Farmer, John Morgan Phillips and Olivine Phillips and one nephew Kevin Farmer.
Jimmy leave behind to cherish his memory his wife Kimberly Lundy Farmer, father Robert Farmer, children: Ethan Farmer (Mishela), Nathan Farmer, Olivia Farmer, Brandon Hayes (Kandis) and Joseph Huskey (Jessica), three grandchildren Eliza Farmer, Isaiah Huskey and Trinity Huskey, numerous other extended family members and a host of special friends.
The family will receive friends on Sunday evening, November 3, 2019 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM in the Athens chapel of Companion Funeral Home located at 400 S White Street in Athens.
The funeral will Monday, November 4, 2019 at 11:00 AM in the funeral home chapel with the Reverend Will Davis Officiating. The interment will follow in the Short Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
