James Cleatus Innis, 74, of Cleveland, TN passed away on September 14, 2024 surrounded by his loving family and friends. He was born on March 11, 1950 to the late Wiley and Edna Innis.
James was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Those close to him know how much he enjoyed watching Western Movies and FOX News. In addition to his mother and father, he is preceded in death by his brothers Denton, Wiley, Tommy, and George; sisters Jean, Lois, and Eunice; son Michael Innis; grandsons Joseph Hembree and Devin Weber.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife, Ruby Faye Innis; daughters Lisa (Rusty) Hembree, Donna (Darrin) Weber, Christy (Jeremy) Rogers; adopted son Robert Newton; special young man Roy George; grandchildren: Misty (Alex) Fallin, Craig (Courtney) Hembree, Reily Hembree, Derrick Weber, Landon Rogers, Gavin Rogers; great grandchildren: Eli and Samuel Fallin, Tymber Lakelynn, and Creek Hembree.
James' family will receive friends from 4pm until 6pm on Thursday September 19th at Galilee Baptist Church located at 665 Old Chattanooga Pike, Cleveland, TN 37323. A celebration of James' life will be held at 6pm following visitation. He will be laid to rest on Friday morning at Chattanooga National Cemetery with full military honors. Rev. Donald Weaver and Pastor Terry Daniels will be officiating. Craig Hembree, Derrick Weber, Landon Rogers, Gavin Rogers, Eric Hembree, and Zack Peterson will serve as pallbearers.
