James Harold Williams

James Harold Williams, age 88, passed away at his home on April 11, 2022 surrounded by his family.

Jim was born March 31,1934 in Savannah, Georgia to the late Lee Roy Williams and the late Mada Williams. His loving and devoted wife of 62 years, Nita Williams of Savannah, Georgia , also preceded him in death.

Jim leaves behind a sister Ann Williams Norton ; his daughter Hope Becker; his two sons Dave Williams and Lindy Williams and his wife Cheryl K Williams, along with 5 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild and many other relatives and friends. Jim was a veteran in the U.S. Navy. He worked at Savannah Electric Power for over 40 years as a lineman and then later in management at SEPCO. Jim was a sports enthusiast. He loved watching the Atlanta Braves, the Georgia Bulldogs and any and all other sports. He was also a great tennis and racquetball player spending many hours playing with family and friends.

A celebration of Jim's life will be held at a later date at the Bonaventure Church of Christ in Savannah, Georgia.
