Obituary
James F. Bolen, 79 went to be with our Lord on Saturday, 4/13/2013 with his family surrounding him with love. He is preceded in death by his parents Gladys & James E. Bolen and his son, H. Michael Bolen.
Jim is survived by his wife of almost 60 years, C. Jeanette (Davies) Bolen, two sons James D. (Debbie) Bolen, Mark L. Bolen and daughter, Deborah L. (Jack) Hines, a brother-in-law Lynn (Kimmie) Davies, 7 grand-children and 8 great grand-children.
Jim graduated in 1952 from City High School in Chattanooga and attended Tennessee Tech where he met Jeanette and married May 17, 1953.
Jim was a Trustee of Harrison United Methodist Church, Vice-president of W. P. Chrysler Club, past president of Chickamauga Region of Antique Car Club of America.
Jim is a past winner of Felix Mason Award and Charlie Faulkner Award. Jim also retired with 36 year service from Central Soya and most recently worked at Avis Budget rental car where he loved shuttling cars.
The family will receive visitors starting at 5:30 pm on Thursday, 4/18/2013 at Harrison United Methodist church at 5621 Highway 58, Chattanooga, TN. A Memorial Service conducted by Pastor Tom Hancock will follow at 7:00.
The family is asking in lieu of flowers, donations to the ASPCA or a charity of your choice be made in his honor.
