Obituary

James E. Gregg, 70, a lifelong resident of Cleveland, TN passed away on Sunday, May 4th, 2014 in a local hospital. James was in Cleveland on July 22, 1943 a son of the late Clarence and Nada L. Gregg.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of thirty seven years Martha S. Gregg, three children Pamela Huggins (Darrell), Anthony Gregg & Tim Gregg (Betty), step children Eddie Linn (Schonna), Christine Castleberry & Lori Tallent (Ricky), grandchildren Chris Pruitt, Brandon Callahan, Josh Castleberry, Courtney Castleberry, Michael Gregg, Matt Gregg & Whitney Hoffner, Ashley Linn, and Kent Linn; great grandchildren Candler Pruitt, Marcus Castleberry & Baylor Wilson, one sister Brenda Geren, one brother Ricky Gregg and numerous other extended family members.

A celebration of his life is planned for Wednesday night, May 7th, 2014 at 8:00 PM in the chapel of Companion Funeral Home located at 2419 Georgetown Road in Cleveland, TN with the Reverend Mike Cawood officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday night from 5:00 PM until the 8:00 PM at the funeral home.

Interment with full military honors will be on Thursday morning, May 8th, 2014 at 10:00 AM in the Chattanooga National Cemetery. Josh Castleberry, Chris Pruitt, Brandon Callahan, Kent Linn, Michael Gregg Darrell Huggins and Ricky Tallent will serve as casket bearers.
