James Edward Thurman

James Edward Thurman, 68, of Cleveland, TN passed away on March 30, 2016. He was born on July 18, 1947 to the late Newell and Ella Thurman. In addition to his mother and father, James is preceded in death by three brothers: Donnie Thurman, Ray Thurman, and D.B. Thurman; sisters: Hazel Thurman and Faye Ledford.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife Brenda Thurman; son Danny Thurman; daughters: Tami Cheever, Marie Yarger, Nancy Thompson, and Arlene Hable; brothers Carless Thurman and Charles Thurman; and sister Margaret Jones. In addition to these, he leaves behind numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family members and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday April 2, 2016 at Georgetown Baptist Church located at 8212 Highway 60, Georgetown, TN 37336 with Pastor Earl Farris officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00am until 2:00pm prior to the service on Saturday.
