James Edward Howard, 81, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 26, 2020 at his home. He was originally from Chattanooga but spent the past few years in Pisgah, Alabama. He was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed hunting and fishing when he was younger.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Cecil Stokes Howard; 4 brothers; and 4 sisters.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his 5 children, James (Joy) Howard, Jr., Kathy Renee (Stoney) Horton, Nathaniel Dean (Wanda) Howard, Kimberly Rose (Kelly) Cox, and Donna Faye (David) Hobbs; 4 brothers, Jessie Ray, Pete, Roscoe “Boss”, and Donnie; 16 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 1:30PM until 3:30PM on Wednesday, September 30, 2020 in the chapel of Companion Funeral Home located at 2415 Georgetown Road NW in Cleveland. A Celebration of Life Graveside Service will follow at 4:00PM in the Cofer Cemetery.
