James Carr

James Lynn Carr, age 73, passed away on Friday, December 6, 2024. He was born on April 25, 1951, in Oakdale, TN, to the late Ralph and Mavis Carr.

James is survived by his wife, Paula; brother, Lee Carr, his son, Christopher Carr, and his wife, Lisa, along with their daughters, Mia and Julia; his daughter, Katie Woods, and her husband, Josh, along with their children, Isla and Rhys; and his daughter, Gabrielle Carr, and her son, Braylen.

James dedicated his life to service. He worked as a firefighter and paramedic with the Chattanooga Fire Department, served as a Fire Foreman at the TVA Sequoyah Nuclear Plant, and proudly served his country as an artillery captain in the Tennessee National Guard during Operation Desert Shield and Operation Desert Storm. James was a Master Mason of the former Whitley Lodge 601 of Chattanooga, TN.

James will be remembered for his commitment to his family, his community, and his country. A private family service will be held to honor his life.
