James "Bob" Wallace Shackelford

February 12, 1932 — November 7, 2020

James “Bob” Wallace Shackelford took up permanent residence in Heaven, joining his lovely wife Eviadene, on November 7, 2020. Bob was born on February 12, 1932 in Daisy, TN to Sylvia Florence Clark Shackelford and John Henry Shackelford. He was a decorated Korean War Veteran having served his country in the United States Navy at sea and while stationed in Japan and Korea. He met Eviadene while they were both working at DuPont. They were married on September 3, 1958 and raised two children, James and Lisa.
Bob loved boating; cooking; dancing; gardening; woodworking; playing the Dobro, guitar, and piano; and singing and writing Gospel music. Everyone who met Bob always commented on how funny, sweet, and talented he was especially at the Hardees and Dairy Queen Gospel singings and Senior Citizens’ meetings that he and Eviadene both loved to attend. He will be sincerely missed by family and friends.
Bob was preceded in death by his wife Eviadene Douglas Shackelford; his mother and father; his brother John Alvin Shackelford; his sister Inez Cox Parker; his nephew James Cecil Cox; and his nieces Barbara Sue Norman and Brenda Gail Walls. He is survived by his son James (Debbie); daughter Lisa (Gary) Hardy; two granddaughters, Keri and Lochlyn; two brothers Charles (Wilma) Shackelford and Don (Rita) Shackelford; nieces Rhonda Castleberry, Gina Clark, and Debra Bates; and several great nieces and great nephews.
