James Ashby Dudding, 82, of Cleveland, TN passed away on April 4, 2023. He was born in Akron, OH, on February 22, 1941 to the late Thomas Ashby Dudding and Roberta Ann Williams Dudding. James moved here in 1993 from Florida. He was a member of Philadelphia Baptist Church. He enjoyed electric trains and watching Atlanta Braves Baseball. He was a truck and bus driver by trade and served in the United States Coast Guard.
In addition to his mother and father, he is preceded in death by his wife, Loree Baker Dudding.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his daughters: Courtney Baker (Jeremy), Cheryl Svoboda, Lora Dudding, and Heather Mangeout; grandchildren: Michael Carnley, Brianna Carnley, Whitney Svoboda, and Natalie Svoboda; sister, Judy Kemper (Dwight). He also leaves behind a very special friend, Dennie Norman.
James’ family will receive friends from 5pm until 7pm on Monday April 10th at the Cleveland Chapel of Companion Funeral Home with a Celebration of Life Service to follow at 7pm. He will be laid to rest at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens at 11am on Tuesday April 11th. Pastor Rob Works will be officiating. Steve Dycus, Caleb Headrick, Canyen Norman, Dennie Norman, Shane Vandergriff, and Hayden Wilson will serve as pallbearers.
