Jack Mitchell Waldroup

Jack Mitchell Waldroup, 81, a resident of Old Fort, Tennessee, went home to be with his Lord & Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday May 17, 2018. Jack was born on January 28, 1937 in Cisco, GA to the late Clee & Roxie West Waldroup. He was a faithful and diligent member of Cisco Baptist Church. Jack enjoyed woodworking, gardening, and being outside, but more than anything, he enjoyed studying his Bible and spending time with his family. His faith and relationship with God were the most important things in his life.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his loving wife of 55 years, Joanne Waldroup; and siblings, Della Rose Waldroup, Hershel Waldroup, Cecil Waldroup, Dave Waldroup, Pauline Morgan, and Ruth Walker.
Jack leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving children, Lat Waldroup, Kathy Waldroup, Bonnie and James Yates, and Tim Waldroup; grandchildren, Jeremy Waldroup, Cory Yates, Joshua Waldroup, Katelyn Miller, Jacob Morozko, and Heather Sardina; 10 great-grandchildren; siblings, Johnny Waldroup, Eugene Waldroup, Katherine Bramlett, Virginia “Cricket” Green, and Lillie Silver. best friend, Leonard Stafford; daughter-in-law, Marcy Waldroup; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
The family will receive friends on Saturday May 19, 2018 from 2:00pm until 5:00pm at Conasauga River Baptist Church.
A celebration of life service will begin at 5:00pm, at the church.
Following the service, Jack will be laid to rest in the Conasauga River Baptist Church Cemetery with Joshua Waldroup, Jeremy Waldroup, Cory Yates, Ryan Miller, Doug Walker, Darrell Walker, Mike Waldroup, and Dewight Waldroup serving as pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Leonard Stafford, Eli Waldroup, Landon Miler, Jacob Morozko, and Joseph Sardina.
