Jack Lee O'Daniel

Jackie “Jack” Lee O’ Daniel, 84, of Cleveland, TN entered the gates of heaven on Monday April 29, 2019. He was born on January 24, 1935 to the late John Julian and Katie Elizabeth O’Daniel. Jack was a lifelong resident of this area and of the Baptist Faith. He was a member of Echoes of Mercy Baptist Church in Cleveland. Jackie’s family was his life. He was also very active in his church as a Sunday School teacher and singer. He loved to eat Saturday breakfast with his grandsons.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers: Johnny and Kenneth; sisters Josephine Holloway and Elizabeth Eaton.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of JoAnn Rayfield O’Daniel of 67 years; daughters: Elizabeth “Libby” Akins (Randy) of Cleveland and Evelyn Tamplin (Doug) of Cleveland; sisters: Shirley Mitchell (Robert) of Havelock, NC, Jean Kelley of Pensecola, FL, Charlotte Samples (Larry) of Cleveland, and Joyce Haddock (Rabun) of Credo, WV; grandchildren: Greg Dill, Cyndi Carroll (Baron), Stacey Dill (Stacy), Chad Hamby, Julie Conrad (Paul). In addition to these he leaves behind fifteen great grandchildren and nine great great grandchildren. He also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members and friends.
The family will receive friends from 5:00pm until 8:00pm on Friday May 3, 2019 at Echoes of Mercy Baptist Church located at 515 Durkee Road, Cleveland, TN 37323. A celebration of life service will be held at 3:00pm on Saturday May 4, 2019 at the church with Pastor Daniel White officiating and burial to follow at Tasso United Methodist Cemetery.
