Jack Robert Buckner

Jack Robert Buckner, age 79, of Cleveland, TN, passed away peacefully on August 21, 2023. He was born on January 14, 1944 in Murphy, NC Jack was a husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Jack was a man of simple pleasures and found great joy in the sport of trout fishing. Spending time in nature, casting his line, and reeling in the perfect catch brought him immense happiness. His love for fishing was a passion he shared with others, leaving behind cherished memories of peaceful days spent on the water.He also loved NASCAR and following the races. Jack was a member of Beech Springs Baptist Church.

Devoted to his family, Jack leaves behind his loving wife of 25 years, Betty Buckner. He was a dedicated father to his daughters, Ashley Kairn (Richard), Andrea Lynn Burton (Carl) and stepfather to Stacey Dunn (James). Jack's grandchildren, Lucyane, Leia, Remington, Simon, and David, brought endless delight and pride to his life. He also leaves behind his dear sister, Ruth Abercrombie (David), and his special cousin, Tom Buckner. Jack's presence in their lives will be deeply missed, but his memory will continue to be treasured by all those who were fortunate to know him.

A celebration of Jack's life will take place on Thursday, August 24, 2023, at the Cleveland Chapel of Companion Funeral & Cremation Service. The visitation will be held from 11:00 am, allowing family and friends to pay their respects. A family viewing will commence at 10:30 am, providing an opportunity for those closest to reminisce and share personal moments of remembrance. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 pm, where stories of Jack's life will be shared, celebrating the legacy he leaves behind. Pastor Larry Hubbard will be officiating.

Following the service, Jack will be laid to rest in the serene Cedar Springs Cemetery, where his memory will forever reside. This final act of love and respect will honor his life and provide a peaceful resting place for him to be remembered.

In this time of grief, let us find solace in the memories we hold dear, the stories we share, and the love that will forever bind us to Jack. He will forever live on in our hearts and minds, a beacon of love and light that will continue to guide us through the darkest of days.
