Iva Schmitt

Iva "Lisa" Angelisa Schmitt, 72, of Cleveland, TN passed away on Thursday, August 15, 2024. She was born on October 20, 1951 in Fulton, MS with a quick move to Chattanooga, TN where she pursued a legacy in music and teaching with a masters in piano from MTSU. She was famous for her cooking, singing, style, and strong determination. After struggling many years with complications due to her diabetes, she left to join God's Kingdom. She is loved and remembered by her husband Alan Schmitt, son Philip Schmitt, and daughter Christina Brown as well as her sister Beth Rabon and family, mother Rubene Spencer, Susan Bradley, Roy David and Scott Strickland and their families. A service will be held in remembrance of her on Wednesday, August 21 at 3pm in the Ridge Chapel of Companion Funeral Home in Cleveland, TN. Her family will receive friends from 1-3 PM prior to the service. A wake at the family's household will follow thereafter.
