Irene Boyd

Irene Boyd, 73 of Cleveland, departed this life on Friday, June 11, 2021 at her home. Born on June 26, 1947 in Etowah to the late Sylvester and Louise Lawson Boyd, she lived a majority of her life in Lafayette, Georgia before spending the last years in Bradley County. She was retired from K Mart after fifteen years and enjoyed reading, watching game shows, and spending time with her family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Boyd; son Gordon”Pete” Hall and sister, Janie Ireland.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her children, Teresa Jackson, Lisa and Robert Tomashot, and Steven Hall; siblings, Mary “ Rosie” Waldon, Daisy Davenport, Amy Williams, Cheryl Stiles, Thomas Womack and Betty Turner; special niece and caregiver, Katherine Romine ; nine grandchildren, twenty-eight great-grandchildren and several extended family and a host of friends.
A Celebration of Life and Home going for Irene Elaine Dobbs Boyd will be held at 7p.m. Thursday, June 17, 2021 from the Cleveland Chapel of Companion Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends from 5p.m. until the time of service on Thursday at the funeral home.
