Ira D. Porter, 62 of Cleveland, TN passed away Wednesday March the 29,2017 at his residence. He was a member of the US Army.
He is preceded in death by his father, Lonas Porter; mother, Willie Joe Smith; step-dad, Glen Smith; daughter, JacQuesta Porter Ballew; niece, Angela Porter; grandparents, Joseph & Vertie Ewing; aunts, Sara Littlejohn, Nellie Smith, Geneva Gray, and Nedith Beck.
He is survived by brother, Alvin Porter; daughter, Evangela and (Rich) Kienlen of Cleveland and son Ira ShaShawn Porter Jr; daughters YuVette Bryant of Chattanooga, Tabitha Oliver & honorary son in law (Jason Helms) of Cleveland; grandchildren, Bryshaun, Salijacee, Nevaeh, Shamauri, Alexyia and Phoenix Porter, Bryasha Thompson and Gabriel Baxter; great-grandchild, Jayden Lane; niece, Carma Stewart; great-niece, Tequila Porter; special friend, Jessie White; special aunt, Dolly Porter Curtis as well as a host of very special cousins.
A homegoing celebration of life service is planned for 3:00pm on Sunday April 2, 2017 at the St. James Cumberland Presbyterian Church, located at 151 Short Street NE, with Reverend Rhonda S. Westfield officiating the service.
The family will receive friends one hour prior, from 2:00pm until the 3:00pm service time.
