Inez Davis

Obituary
Inez Davis, 89, a resident of Cleveland, TN passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday afternoon, January 31st, 2013 with her family by her side. Inez was born on October 15, 1923 in the Atlanta Georgia area a daughter of the late Tom and Neil Daniel. She had made Cleveland her home for the past fifty three plus years. She was of the Baptist faith and a member of the First Baptist Church of Cleveland. Inez was active in her Sunday School Class as well and the “New Comers” group, and the Garden Club. She enjoyed people and interaction with them. Inez never met a stranger and would always during her conversation at some point or in closing state a heartfelt “I Love You”.
In addition to her parents Inez is preceded in death by four siblings Dorothy Grogan, Tom Daniel, Bob Daniel, and Max Daniel.
Inez leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving and devoted husband of 71 glorious years Jack Davis, two daughters and sons-in- law, Jackie and Dr. David McCoy, and Ginger and Phil Imburgia, two grandchildren Dr. Kimberly McCoy Helms (Kevin) and Kenneth David McCoy (Claire), nine great grandchildren Amelia Helms, Alexandra Helms, Addison Helms, Branam McCoy, Niess McCoy, Matthew McCoy, Charlie Wieters, Sam Wieters, and Bess Wieters, and numerous other extended family members and friends.
A graveside service is planned for Tuesday, February 5th, 2013 at 12:30 PM at the Chattanooga National Cemetery located on Bailey Avenue with the Reverend Tom Wickes officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be the great grandsons.
The family will hold a small visitation in the chapel of Garden Plaza on Keith Street on Tuesday morning from 9:30 AM until 11:30 AM for family, close friends, and her neighbors at Garden Plaza prior to leaving for the Chattanooga National Cemetery.
The family request that in lieu of flowers memorial donations be made either to the North Cleveland Baptist Church Building Fund or the First Baptist Church Building Fund in her memory.
