Ida Turpin

Ida Turpin, 82, of Cleveland, TN, passed away peacefully on November 28, 2024. A loving Christian woman, Ida was a devoted member of Four Point Baptist Church, where she found great joy in serving the Lord and her church community.

First and foremost, Ida was a caregiver at heart, always putting others before herself. She loved her family deeply and took great pleasure in the simple joys of life, whether it was sewing, working in her yard, or singing praises to Jesus. Her faith and her love for others were the cornerstones of her life, and she was a constant source of kindness and warmth to everyone she encountered.

Ida was preceded in death by her beloved husband, J.B. Turpin. She is survived by her children: Kathy Clayton, Brenda Turpin, Melinda Jenkins, and Patty Chesley; her grandchildren: Adam Clayton, Sarah McDaniel, Kelly Clayton, Josh Chesley, Sheryl Chesley, Al Jenkins, Jon Jenkins, and Luci Jenkins Martin; and her great-grandchildren: JC Lilly, Willow Clayton, Cathryn Brannon, Madison Thomas, Julianna Tomas, Journey McDaniel, Rebecca Cannon, Hannah Cannon, Zachary Chesley, Austin Shelly, Kayson Chesley, Laney Jenkins, Brianna Jenkins, Maylee Martin, and Aveline Martin.

A service to honor Ida's life will be held on Monday, December 2, 2024, at 3:00 PM at Companion Funeral Home "Ridge Chapel." Visitation will begin at 12:00 PM that same day. Following the service, Ida will be laid to rest at Fort Hill Cemetery.

Ida's sweet spirit, love for her family, and unwavering faith will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She has left a lasting legacy of love, faith, and devotion that will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
