Ida Nell King

Obituary

"Ida" Nell King, 74, a lifelong resident of Athens and Decatur passed away on Sunday, June 15th, 2014 at her home. She was of the Baptist faith. She lived 18 years of life with her husband Thomas Humphrey.

Ida is preceded in death by her first husband Leonard King, her father Nelson McKinney, her mother Bruce All Redman, one son Randell King, one step daughter Millie and one grandson Toby Vance.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory in addition to Thomas, one daughter Brenda Vance and son-in-law Victor Ulokovic, one son Roger King, two grandsons Brian and Brady King of Athens, TN, three stepsons Paul, Larry & Rick (Mary) King all of Decatur, TN, eight step grandchildren, several great grandchildren, and a couple of great great grandchildren, one special cousin Norman Taylor, one brother-in-law Ray Biven and one sister-in-law Jennifer Hicks of Cleveland, TN. Ida is also survived by numerous of the extended family members and a host of friends.

A celebration of her life is planned for Saturday, June 21st, 2014 at 4:00 PM in the chapel of Companion Funeral Home located at 2419 Georgetown Road in Cleveland, TN with the Reverend Albert Gentry officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 2:00 PM until the 4:00 PM service time.
