The memory of a good person is a blessing.

Hugh Dennis Murphy, 72, a resident of Cleveland, TN, born in Niagara Falls, New York, to Hugh and Hazel Murphy, passed away on January 14, 2024.

Survived by his wife, Linda Kendrick Murphy, and loving son, Joseph Murphy of Ball Ground, GA. Hugh is also remembered by his sister-in-law, Janice Kendrick of Crum, Texas, and sisters-in-law Brenda Wilcoxon and Colleen Carroll and his two grandchildren Keaton James Murphy and Kolton Joseph Murphy of Gainsville, GA.

Hugh is preceded in death by his son, Hugh Murphy II, and his parents, Hugh Murphy Sr. and Hazel Murphy.

Our family thanks Gentiva Hospice Care for their excellent care of Mr. Murphy. Thanking his nurse Crystal, Dee Dee, Cocoa, Gwen, and Miranda for their loving care. Also Clergy Judy Scott for the many readings and prayers for Dennis.

A funeral will be held at St. Theresa Catholic Church and internment at Sunset Memorial Garden with Father Nolan officiating. A date is forthcoming. We request no flowers but donations to be made to St. Theresa Pantry Fund.
