Obituary

Hubert F. Lawson, "Peanut," passed away on Friday December 6, 2013 in a Chattanooga Hospice facility. He was born on April 12, 1948 to the late Ralph E. and Alta L. Lawson. He was of the Christian faith and retired as a concrete finisher and construction worker. Peanut loved listening to music, going to flea markets and yard sales, and kept everyone around him smiling.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory one son Franklin Jr. Lawson, daughter Tammy Lawson, sister Ann Adcock (Danny), brother Tommy Lawson (Janice), half-brother Matt Evans, grandson Torrey Lawson, two nieces Rhonda Cheek and Karen Lawson, aunt Widdie Morris, four special friends: Bill Sexton, Charles and Gladys Rogers, and Rex Wilson. In addition to these, he leaves behind several cousins and extended family members and friends.

A funeral service is planned for Tuesday December 10th, 2013 at 2:00 PM at the Community Hall Church located at 1305 6th ST NE, Cleveland, TN 37311 with Pastor Ronnie Ledford officiating. Interment will follow the service at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Robert Cheek, Mike Paschke, Mike Goodwin, Freddie Straton, Billy Swafford, Andy Coffey, and Dale Shafer will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at the church on Monday night, December 9th, 2013 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and also from 1:00 PM until the 2:00 PM service time on Tuesday.
