Hoyt Edward Smith

Hoyt Edward Smith, 69, of Cleveland, Tennessee passed away on Wednesday, May 10, 2023. Hoyt was born April 9, 1954, in Cleveland to the late Oscar and Annie Smith.

Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his 2 brothers L.V. Smith, and Arnold Vines; and his 4 sisters, Marie Smith, Willie Waters, Christine Mullins, and Nancey Vines.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his brother Jack (Linda) Smith; 3 sisters, Elizabeth Woods, Linda Drotzur, and Debra (Bob) Medford; along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

The family will be receiving friends on Monday, May 15, 2023, from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Companion Funeral Home of Cleveland. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Tuesday, May 16, 2023, at 12:00 pm at Companion Funeral Home of Cleveland with pastors Mike McDoogle, John Stinnett, and Gary Farris officiating. The family will be receiving friends from 11:00 am – 12:00 pm prior to the service. A Graveside service will follow at Plowman Cemetery.
