Obituary
Hilda Mary Berkshire Connolly, 82, a resident of Cleveland passed away in her sleep on Thursday, March 22, 2012. Hilda was born in Newfoundland, Canada on December 9, 1929 a daughter of the late Alfred and Ida Berkshire. Hilda had been a resident of Cleveland since 1953. She loved life, enjoyed reading her Bible and was a loving wife and devoted mother and grandmother. She was dearly loved and will be missed by all.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Mike Connolly Sr., one son David Berkshire Connolly, two sisters Hazel Brennen and Ada Sheaves, one brother Bill Berkshire, and one step grandson Michael Shannon.
Those who remain to cherish her memory include five children Maureen Shannon (Larry), Diane Duggan, Mike Connolly Jr. (Jeanette), Shelia Henderson (Gregg) of Waunakee, WI, Joan Connolly (Mackenzie) of Orlando, FL, four grandchildren David Chung (Erin) of Gaithersburg, MD, Lynda Casteel (Andy), Jake Duggan, and Joe Duggan, one step grandson Matthew Freytag (Kellie). She is also survived by three loving great grandchildren, Nellie Rose Chung, Lucy Frances Chung, and Barret Andrew Hamilton, one sister Maude Barron and one brother Bob Berkshire and a host of other extended family members.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, March 24, 2012 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
A private Graveside service is scheduled later at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
