Hershel Lee Swafford

Hershel Swafford, 83, of Dayton, TN passed away on Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at Life Care of Rhea County. Hershel was born on September 10th, 1933 in Dayton, TN.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his children, Shirley Stewart, Betty Howard, Dorothy Winton and step-daughter Pansy White; grandchildren, Thaddus Henry, Jessica Stewart, Dewayne Reel, Brandon Reel, Breanna Parton, Chris Swafford, Charity Swafford, Chasity Clark, Makayla Debusk, Shawna Tullos, Mekeisha Boles, Jamie Boles & many more great-grandchildren and other extended family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lee and Dorothy Swafford; daughter Sarah Ruth Swafford.

A celebration of life is planned for Sunday, August 6th, 2017 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Companion Funeral Home located at 2419 Georgetown Road in Cleveland, TN. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 12:00 PM until the 2:00 PM service time.
