Henry Dodson

Henry Lionell Dodson, 68, of Etowah TN, passed away peacefully on Thursday September 21, 2023, at his residence at Etowah Health Care. He was born on July 26, 1955, in Etowah TN, to the late Warren G. and Frankie Kate Dodson.

Henry worked at Morgan's Manufactory for many years until he was disabled. He loved to spend time with his family, especially his grandchildren and his favorite thing to do was to play bingo during his stay at Etowah Health Care. Henry was of Baptist faith, and attended Good Springs Baptist Church for many years. Henry had a big heart and will be missed by all his family and friends. Everyone that knew him loved him and always spoke high of him.

Proceeded in death by his parents, Warren G. and Frankie Kate Dodson; brother, Larry W. Dodson; nephew Chis Dodson.

Survivors include; son Phillip L. Dodson and wife Jennifer D. Dodson, son David A. Dodson and wife Joann Dodson, sister Diane Vaughn, brother Charles Dodson and wife Louise Dodson, sister Shelia Dodson, sister in law Janice Dodson ,the mother of his children Debbie J. Couey, his granddaughter Emileigh D. Dodson Stratton and husband Corey A. Stratton, grandson Justin P. Dodson and wife Kaitlyn D. Dodson, great grandson Zander M. Dodson, great granddaughter Riverleigh A. Stratton, two twin great grandbabies on the way, and many nieces and nephews.

The family will be receiving friends and family at Companion Funeral Home in Athens, TN on Tuesday, September 26th from 12:00 until 3:30 pm and will then proceed to Good Springs Cemetery in Etowah for a graveside service officiated by Pastor Anthony Wynn. Pallbearers will be Justin Dodson, Corey Stratton, Chris Ball, Chad Watson, Caleb Rhodes, Ashley Rhodes.
