Henrietta McConnell

December 25, 1946 — April 8, 2025

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Henrietta Morrow McConnell,78, of Cleveland, TN who went to be with the Lord on April 8th, 2025.

Born on December 25th, 1946 in Ocoee, Tennessee, Henrietta was the daughter of Henry and Jessie Trentham. She lived a life devoted to faith, love, and service to God. Her unwavering faith brought comfort and strength to those around her, and she will be remembered for her devotion to God, her family, and her community.

Henrietta was a beloved member of the Central Church of Christ, where she was an active member of the Classics Group. She was best known for her fiery personality, impressive quilt-making skills, and her famous coconut cake.

Henrietta Morrow McConnell is preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Jessie Trentham, her husband Gale Morrow, her husband Cliff McConnell, her brothers Don Matthews, Ras Matthews, and Buddy Matthews, her sisters Joann Ruth, Dianna Bramlett, and Wanda Matthews, nephew Raymond Shew II, and stepdaughter Kathy Bowman.

She is survived by her son Bryan (Diana) Morrow, sister Sandra (Raymond) Shew, grandchildren Colton (Maria) Morrow and Cayleigh (Jared) Ordner, her niece Pam (Bill) McCain, and her nephew Michael (Clarissa) Bramlett; Stepson Steve (Sherrie) McConnell, Grandchildren Houston (Beth) McConnell, Grayson (Shelby) McConnell, Molly (Taylor) Cupp, and several great grandchildren.

The family will be receiving friends on Friday, April 11th at Central Church of Christ from 4:00-6:00. A service to celebrate the life of Henrietta Morrow McConnell will follow, where we will reflect on the blessings of her life and the joy she found in God's promises.

Friends and family are invited to join us in honoring her memory and faith.

We take comfort in knowing that Henrietta Morrow McConnell is now in the presence of our Lord, where there is no more pain or suffering. Her legacy of faith, love, and service to others will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. As the Scripture says, "Well done, good and faithful servant." (Matthew 25:21)
