Obituary
Helen Virginia Bernardo, 89, of Cleveland, TN passed away on April 1, 2013 at a Cleveland healthcare facility. She was born on February 6, 1924 to the late Henderson and Blanche Thomas Satterfield. She spent the last five years of her life being cared for by her daughter and the loving staff of Clare Bridge of Cleveland, TN. She was preceded in death by her husband, Felix Bernardo, a sister, Laura Wilson, and brother, Eugene Satterfield. She is survived by one brother, Paul Satterfield and daughter, Sandra Joy Carrel, grandson Briton Novakoski, grandaughter, Bryony Novakoski, and great grandaughter, Stella Novakoski. She was a devoted daughter to her mother for many years, a loving and cherished wife, mother, and a faithful follower of Christ. The family will receive friends at Companion Funeral & Cremation Service located at 2415 Georgetown RD NW from 6:00-7:30 pm on Thursday April 4, 2013. Her body will be laid to rest alongside her husband at the West Virginia National Cemetery in Grafton, WV.
The family is planning a memorial service for Saturday, May 25th, 2013 at 2:00 PM at the Fairmont Wesylan Methodist Church located at 1265 Bell Run Road in Fairmont, West VIrginia.
