Helen Rickenbaker Schuyler, 95, of Cleveland, TN passed away on August 28, 2018 at Morningside of Cleveland. A Celebration of Life service will be held at Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church on September 9 at 2 PM with the Rev. Carolyn Braddy officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 PM. Interment will follow on October 27 in Orangeburg, South Carolina.
Helen was born September 9, 1923 in Bowman, South Carolina. She was a graduate of Orangeburg High School. She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, James "Hop" Schuyler and twelve siblings and their spouses. She is survived by her two daughters, Annette Stansel and husband, Ben, of Cleveland, TN and Joyce Geaslen and husband, Arthur, of New Bern, North Carolina; six grandchildren, Janelle McTernan (Bob), Jim Stansel (Christy), Pam McMillan (Mike), Amy Glenn (Justin), Trey Geaslen (Carrie) and Schuyler Williams (Ben); ten great-grandchildren, Zachary and Allison McMillan, Amanda and Steven Stansel, Wesley and Claire Glenn, Avery and Latham Williams, Addison and Lee Geaslen and many extended family members and friends.
Helen lived her life to the fullest and loved her family dearly. She was generous and giving and always doing for others. She was a true prayer warrior and loved Jesus. She leaves behind many precious and happy memories and will forever be in our hearts.
