Helen Frances Bolen Green

Helen Frances Bolen Green, 91, a resident of Calhoun, TN passed away Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at a local healthcare facility. Helen was an avid sports fan, especially of the Tennessee Volunteers. When her children and grandchildren had sporting activities, she was always present for their games and events. She loved bluegrass festivals and going to Dollywood. She served as a Sunday school teacher and sang in the Choir. Helen loved her family more than anything and enjoyed spending time with them.
In addition to her parents Grundy and Frances Bolen, she is preceded in death by her husband Walter Jennings Green; son Keith Shoemaker and son in law Charlie Burns.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her children: Kay Burns and Craig Green (Sharon); daughter in law Jenny Shoemaker; brother Charles Bolen and sister Doris Johnson; grandchildren: Todd Shoemaker (Tina), Brian Shoemaker (Amy), Lindsay Vest (Mark), Liza Boykin (Kevin), Haley Green, Tessa Green, Michael Matthews; ten great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. In addition to these, she leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and extended family members and friends.
The family will receive friends from 2:00pm until 3:00pm on Saturday at Calhoun First Baptist Church. A celebration of life service will follow the visitation at 3:00pm. Interment will follow the service at the Cemetery with Todd Shoemaker, Brian Shoemaker, Alex Shoemaker, Jack Shoemaker, Clay Shoemaker, and Mark Vest serving as pallbearers.
