Hazel F. Watson

Hazel F. Watson, 104, of Cleveland passed away Tuesday October 4, 2016, with her three daughters by her bedside. She was born on October 2, 1912, the daughter of the late William F. and Martha Patterson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Willard Watson, six younger sisters and great granddaughter, Kimberly Ann Taylor.

She is survived by three daughters: Lillie Ann Hale, Germantown, TN; Wilba Dean Taylor (Paul), Cleveland, TN and Betty Lou Blanton (Harold), Sweetwater, TN; five grandchildren: Brad Taylor (Shelley) Mooresville, NC, Ken Taylor (Kathy), Burlington, KY; Susan Taylor Holmes, Cleveland, TN; Joni Hale Tyer (Rodney), Greers Ferry, AR; Melanie Blanton Stephens (Roger), Madisonville, TN; seven great grandchildren: Jon Holmes, Kingston, TN; Kenny Taylor (Juyeun), Corinth, KY; Courtney Taylor, Charlotte, NC; Travis Taylor, Huntsville, NC; David Tyer, Murfreesboro, TN; Katie Holmes, Murfreesboro, TN; Amanda Stephens, Madisonville, TN.

The family will receive friends on Friday, Oct. 7, from 1:00pm until 2:00pm in the Chapel of Companion Funeral Home located at 2419 Georgetown RD NW, Cleveland, TN 37311. A graveside service will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, 1700 S. Ocoee Street, Cleveland, TN with Rev. Tazz Reid officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Caris Hospice, 5959 Shallowford Road, Suite 551, Chattanooga, TN; Alzheimer’s, or your favorite charity. The family would like to express our gratitude to the caretakers who so graciously provided our Mother with much love and care at Brookdale Mt. Vernon.
