Haskell Eugene McNabb, 88, of Cleveland, TN passed away on July 15, 2022. He was born on August 2, 1933 to the late Samuel and Cleta McNabb. Haskell was a veteran of the United States Army and also the Air Force. He loved fishing, talking to family and friends telling stories and making them laugh. He was a devoted follower of Jesus Christ and loved telling others about his faith. Haskell was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his mother and father he is preceded in death by his daughter Connie Dunn; siblings: Willard McNabb, Ed McNabb, Virgil “Bunk” McNabb, Jackie McNabb, Doyle McNabb, Charlene Taylor, and Betty Hicks; grandson: Christopher Eric Whitmore and great grandson Grayden Whitmore.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of 68 years, Kathryn Howard McNabb; daughters: Carolyn Stevenson, Barbara Whitmore (Robert) of Dalton, Sharon Kersey; brother Bobby McNabb and sister Ruth Shamblin; son in law Gary E. Dunn. He also leaves behind numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, and great great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
Haskell’s family will receive friends from 11am until 1pm on Tuesday July 19th at Companion Funeral Home with a service to follow at 1pm. He will be laid to rest following the service at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Pastor Brian Whitmore will be officiating. Pallbearers will include grandsons, great grandsons, and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s association or a charity of your choice. Special thanks to Adoration Hospice for all their great care.
