Harold Richard Salmon

Harold Richard “Dick” Salmon, 78, of Calhoun, TN passed away on April 17, 2019, after a lengthy illness.

He was an avid gardener, artist, baker, and musician. He was a truck driver for many years and loved photographing his travels and nature. He loved his grandchildren dearly. Originally from New Jersey, he lived in the Lamontville community of Calhoun for the last 43 years.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Alice Salmon, and sister Betty (David) Sutliff.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Linda, brothers Albert “Jess” Salmon, Robert “Red” (Carol) Salmon, Billy (Abby) Salmon, Jimmy (Aggie) Salmon, and sister Barbara Carlson; children Bobby (Lori) Salmon of Chickamauga, GA, Jennifer (Eric) Hesmondhalgh of Kennesaw, Ga, Christine (Ted) Flint of Hixson, TN, and Faith (Erik) Larson of Calhoun, TN; grandchildren Cynthia Morrow, Cortlan, Braxton, Conner, Parker and Brooklyn Salmon, Jacob, Taylor and Carson Flint, and EJ, Heather, Nathaniel, Garret, and Aleah Larson. Services will be held Saturday, May 4 at 3:00 p.m. at Bethel Springs Baptist Church in Calhoun, TN., Jimmy Lewis officiating. Interment with full military honors will be held at the Chattanooga National Cemetery in a private ceremony at a later date. Donations can be made in lieu of flowers to the American Heart Association.
