Harlos Eugene Stokes

Harlos Eugene Stokes, 64, a resident of Athens, TN passed away on Wednesday night, February 7, 2018 at Methodist Medical Center inOak Ridge, TN. Harlos was born on February 3, 1954 a son of the late James & Mable Stokes. He was of the Church of God faith. Harlos loved spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents, Harlos is preceded in death by three sisters Barbara Farrell, Janet Stokes and Janie McNabb and four brothers Steve Stokes, Jimmy Stokes, Lil Russell Stokes and Jerry Stokes.

Harlos leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of 33 years Carol Peel Stokes, four daughters Mary Pillman (Tim), Diane Banks (Steven), Latosha Moses and April Frye, two sons Robert Stokes and Chris Stokes, twelve grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, two sisters Becky Morgan (Jimmy) and Sharon Snyder, one brother Kenny Stokes, numberous other extended family members, church family and a host of special friends.

A celebration of his life is planned for Monday, February 12, 2018 at 1:00 PM in the chapel of Companion Funeral Home of Athens located at 400 S White Street in Athens with the Reverend Clint Ledford, the Reverend Sonny Ledford and the Reverend Charles Williams officiating. Interment will follow in the Decatur cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends on Monday, February 12 from 11:00 AM until the 1:00 PM service time at the funeral home.
