H. L. "Larry" Smith

Obituary
H. L. “Larry” Smith, 88, a resident of Cleveland passed away on Thursday January 5, 2012 in a local hospital. Larry was born on November 16, 1923 in Glasgow, Scotland to the late Harry-Walter and Olive-Virginia Smith. Larry has been a resident of this area for approximately 62 years. He is a member of Temple Baptist Church. Larry accomplished much in his lifetime- a gifted artist, graduated with a music degree in piano performance, and when in England was a member of the British Army and helped guard Queen Elizabeth’s Castle, but will be most loved and remember for being a wonderful and loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather.
Larry is also preceded in death by one son Bobby Coffman.
Larry leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of 27 years Jean, three daughters Sheilla Reavis, Treasa Horton and husband Bufie, Beverly Sioutis and husband Bill, and Martha Gibson. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, January 9, 2012 at 1:00 PM at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
