Gwinneth R. Brown

July 7, 1932 — June 21, 2016

Gwinneth R. “Bobbie” Brown, 83, of Cleveland passed away on Tuesday, June 21, 2016 after an eight year battle with Alzheimer’s.
A native and lifelong resident of Bradley County, she was the daughter of the late Hester Burton Hill and William H. Hill. She was preceded in death by her husband, Doyle Brown; son, Danny Brown; brothers, Haskel L. “Hack” Hill, Fred C. “Tip” Hill, Charles O. Hill, Willard A. Hill, R.L. Hill, and Francis Eugene Hill; sisters, Effie Mikel “Effo” Allen, Ruby Jones, and Mary Hill Beard.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Bobbie was a homemaker and loved working in her flower garden and doing her needlepoint. She was a member of First Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
Bobbie is survived by her son, Clyde D. “Butch” Brown and his wife Diana; Grandchildren, Jenny L. Martin and husband Matt of Gordo, Alabama, Emily M. Lynch and husband Brain of Cleveland; and great grandchildren Hayden Lynch of Cleveland; Grady and Hudson Martin of Alabama, and several nieces and nephews.
We would like to give a special thank you to her wonderful caregivers, Peggy Waters, Kara Tulloss, Ruthann Davis, Ellen Deakins and Mary Hembree for all their love and support through these years and for always being there when we needed them. We also want to thank the staff at Brookedale Mt. Vernon and Caris Healthcare (Hospice) of Chattanooga for their loving care and support the last two months of her life.
