He was a member at Samples Memorial Baptist Church and his name has been written in the Lambs Book of Life for many years. He loved the Lord Jesus Christ and was always ready to give a reason for the hope that he had in Him.

Grady was a huge U.T. Vols fan and enjoyed watching many sports as well as participating in different sports most of his life. As long as he was physically able one of his greatest pleasures and pass times was playing basketball with the guys. He wasnt often the most talented player but no one ever completed harder or loved the challenge better. His greatest talent may have been that he was unsurpassed in his ability to grow things in his garden. He enjoyed sharing his harvest more than he enjoyed reaping.
The family will receive friends at Samples Memorial Baptist Church from 2:00pm until 5:00pm Sunday July 19, 2015. At 5:00pm a memorial service to celebrate Gradys life will be held with Mark Cameron, Pastor at Samples Memorial officiating. Others may speak at the celebration.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Samples Memorial Building Fund located at 371 Samples Church Road, Cleveland, TN 37323.
You are invited to share a personal memory of Grady or your condolences with his family at his online memorial located at www.companionfunerals.com. Companion Funeral and Cremation Service and the Cody family are honored to assist the Chastain family with these arrangements.
