Goldie Jean Lundy Crane, 70, of Athens, Tennessee fell asleep in death to await the glorious resurrection in the Kingdom of God on Earth. Goldie was born on May 21, 1952, in Louisville, Kentucky to the late John and Alice Lundy. Goldie was baptized as one of the Jehovah’s Witnesses and will truly be missed by family and friends.
Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, John Lundy Jr. of Lewisville, Texas.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her husband of 53 years, Mark Crane; children, Jason Crane, and Amanda Braswell Greer; her grandchildren, Maranda Braswell, Andrew Crane, Julia Braswell, and Jackson Greer; brother, Charles “Chuck” Lundy of Florida; mother-in-law Virginia Durbin; along with a host of extended family and friends.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, January 27, 2023, at 1:00 pm at Companion Funeral Home of Athens with Elder Ted Lewis officiating. The family will be receiving friends from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm prior to the Service. A Graveside Service will be held at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Athens, Tennessee following the Chapel Service.
