Gloria Trewhitt Lipps

Obituary
Gloria Trewhitt Lipps, 67 went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 9, 2012 while surrounded by her family. Gloria was born on December 25, 1944 and has lived in Cleveland her whole life. Throughout her life she has many accomplishments which includes being a long time educator in the local school systems, she was a member of the Cleveland State Phi Theta Kappa chapter, she always enjoyed playing Bridge with her friends and she has been a member of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church. She leaves behind her loving husband of 42 years, but her greatest love and devotions was to her six beloved grandchildren.
 
Gloria is preceded in death by her sister Virginia Kay Stutz and nephew Brad Stutz.
 
Survivors include her husband Robert Lipps, son Jeff and wife Dianna, son Matt and wife Jenny, daughter Amanda, grandchildren Lyndsay, Troy, Jonathan, Emily, Tommy, Abigail, mother Bana Clough and brother Harry Trewhitt. She leaves many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews to cherish her memories always.
 
There will be a memorial service at Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church on Saturday, August 11, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. to honor her life and kindness along her walk through life. The family will be receiving friends following memorial in church fellowship hall.
 
The family requests in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the Gloria Lipps Scholarship c/o CSCC Foundation, P.O. Box 3570, Cleveland, TN 37320-3570.
