Glenda Pinckard

Glenda May (Hayes) Pinckard, 81, died on April 22, 2024, in Chattanooga, TN. She was born in Oakland, California on March 10, 1943, to Glenn Edward Hayes and Doris Adele (Marchal) Hayes. She moved to Philadelphia, PA when she was 2 or 3. She moved to Fort Campbell, KY when she was 6 to complete grades 2 through 5. She then attended Pembroke Elementary school until she graduated from the 8th grade, and went to Christian County High School in Hopkinsville, KY.

Glenda attended Bowling Green College of Commerce in Bowling Green, KY and earned an Associate Degree in Secretarial Science.

She went to Draughons Junior College in Johnson City, TN where she had a 4.0 average, graduated with Highest Honors and obtained an Associate Degree in Word Processing. She was on the Dean's List and the President's List all through her schooling there. She also won the Linda Houser Award for Outstanding Achievement and is on the Who's Who List for Accredited Colleges.

Glenda worked as a subcontractor for 5 years for EPA in Atlanta, GA in the Law Library and the Records Division.

She has been a resident of Chattanooga, TN on and off since 1990. She was a member of the First Cumberland Presbyterian Church on North Moore Road.

Glenda is survived by her daughter, Martha J. Robinson and Son-In-Law, Joel D. Robinson II, of Chattanooga, TN, and cousin, Mrs. Joan Gerling of Highland, IN.

Memorial Services will be held at First Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 1505 North Moore Road May 16, 2024, at 11:00 AM. Family will be at the Interment at Hamilton Memorial Gardens in Hixson immediately following the Service. PLEASE, NO ROSES. Tulips, Iris, Daffodils, Gladiola expectable.
