Glenda Christian Carroll

Glenda Christian Carroll, 79, passed away peacefully on October 24th, 2024. Born on July 25th, 1945, in Chattanooga, TN, Glenda was the daughter of the late William Leon Christian and Ira Louise Christian.

Glenda lived a full, joyful life, known for her warm spirit and infectious enthusiasm. She never met a stranger, and her kindness and infectious personality touched everyone she encountered. Glenda's ability to connect with others was one of her greatest gifts.

She was married to her beloved husband, Len Carroll, for 41 years. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and countless cherished memories. Glenda was a devoted mother and stepmother, and her family was always her greatest pride.

She was preceded in death by her son, James Travis Humphreys, sister, Barbara Bowman and Brother-in-law Charles Bowman, brother, Chris Christian. Glenda leaves behind a legacy of love and joy through her family, including her husband Len; daughters Christa McMahan (Jody) and Patti Stininger; stepdaughter Christine Eschenfelder (Daniel); granddaughters Sara Griess (Taylor), Jessica McMahan, Elizabeth Olskey, and Annalee Perez (Kevin Lewallyn); and grandsons Travis Olskey and Cameron Eschenfelder.

Glenda's warmth, humor, and love will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all whose lives she touched.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. We wanted to say thank you to the wonderful staff at both Memorial Hixson and Hospice of Chattanooga for their devotion to excellent care.
