Glenda Boney

Glenda Faye Stephens Swafford Boney, 71, passed away on October 17, 2023 at her residence surrounded by her family. She was born on October 26, 1951 in Athens, TN to the late Carl James and Mary Nell Stephens. She was preceded in death by her infant grandson, Christopher Andrew Swafford.

Glenda is survived by her children, Michelle (husband, Mike) Bonnett of Athens, Tennessee, Jason (wife, Elizabeth) Swafford of Hollywood, Florida, Keith (wife, Irma) Swafford of Niota, Tennessee, Jeff (wife, Debbie) Swafford of Athens, Tennessee; 11 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; siblings, Ron (wife, Jane) Hicks of Blountville, TN, Doug (wife, Nancy) Stephens of Niota, Tennessee, Dennis (wife, Fran) Stephens of Crossville, Tennessee, Donnie "Lap" Stephens of Athens, Tennessee, Lisa (husband, Kadia) Henry of Athens, Tennessee and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held on Thursday, October 26, at 2:00 pm at Companion Funeral & Cremation Services, 400 S. White St., Athens, TN 37303 with Pastor Jerry Stephens officiating. Burial will be at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Athens. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 12:00 to 2:00 at the funeral home.
