Obituary

Gladys Yvonne Jenkins, 53, a lifelong resident of this area passed away on Tuesday, March 4th, 2014 in a local hospital. Yvonne was born in Calhoun, GA a daughter of the late Russell and Mabry Talton. She was of the Baptist faith. Yvonne has worked locally at Elastic Yarns and also Cleveland Community Hospital. Her hobbies included painting ceramics, collecting angels and especially the Christmas season each year.

Yvonne leave behind to cherish her memory her loving and devoted husband of thirty four plus years Dale Jenkins, one daughter and her husband Jessica and Joseph Pendergrass, two grandchildren Katie Howard and Allie Howard, the father of her grandchildren Clint Howard, two sisters Debbie Bowman (Jimmy) and Darlene Cox, three brothers Ricky Horner (Sherry), Jerry Talton (Barbara) and Johnny Talton (Kathy), numerous other extended family members and a host of special friends.

A celebration of her life is planned for Friday, March 7th, 2014 at 11:00 AM at the Center Point Baptist Church located at 1205 Lower River Road in Charleston, TN with the Reverend Randall Jenkins and the Reverend Johnny Underwood officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the church on Thursday night, March 6th, 2014 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM and also one hour prior to the service on Friday.
