Ann Wood

Gladys Ann Wood, 66, a lifelong resident of Athens, TN went to be with her Lord and Savior on August 15, 2023 surrounded by her family. She was born on September 22, 1956, in Athens, TN a daughter of the Bud and Martha Duggan. Ann was a member of Miracle Deliverance Tabernacle. She loved spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in her son Cody Bud Sheldon, two sisters Connie Duggan Hicks and Tammie Culberson and two brothers Danny Duggan and Chris Duggan.

Ann leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving husband Ray Wood, one daughter Angel Radford and her husband Nathan, one son Anthony Sheldon, five grandchildren Austin Radford, Leah Radford, Hunter Sheldon, Cameron Sheldon and Katelin Gourley, one sister Gidget Duggan Robinson, two brothers Steve Duggan (Myrna) and Scott Duggan (Lisha), several nieces and nephews, other extended family members and a host of special friends.

The family will receive friend on Saturday, August 19, 2023 from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at The Miracle Deliverance Tabernacle located at 245 County Road 677 in Riceville, TN 37370. A service celebrating her life will follow the visitation time at 2:00 PM with Brother Anthony Wynn officiating.

The interment and committal service will follow in the Cedar Grove Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.

Romans 8:18 – “For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared to the glory which shall be revealed in us.”
