Gerald Matthew Mashburn

Gerald Matthew Mashburn, 49, of Ten Mile, TN born and raised in Farner, TN went to be with the Lord on Saturday October 5, 2019 at his home. He was a member of Community Baptist Church in Farner, TN. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing with his dad, children and friends. He also enjoyed four-wheeling, racing, and go-cart racing. He was a great welder and auto mechanic, a man of many trades and hobbies. He spent 21 years working at Textron/Collins & Aikman as a Supervisor/Technician. He was a Simple man with lots of love for his family.
He is preceded in death by his mother Dorothy Hayes-Greene, infant sister Teresa Mashburn, step-sister Paula Greene-Tooley.
Survivors include his loving wife of 29 years Missy Campbell-Mashburn & fur baby Kinzlei Mashburn. Father Clarence “Cotton” Mashburn of Farner, TN, step-father Jim Greene of Riceville, TN, one son Brett Mashburn (Stephanie Mashburn) of Ten Mile, TN, one daughter Andrea Ricker (Robbie Lucas) of Ten Mile, TN, one sister Lisa Maxwell (Collins Maxwell) of Athens, TN, six grandchildren Hunter Brown, Ely Brown, Tuff Ricker, Drake Mashburn, Lucius Mashburn & Zoe Mashburn, sister in law Sandra Bucknor of Dayton, TN, three nephews Nicolas Maxwell (Courtney Osborne) of Athens, TN, Brandon Tooley (Jasmine Mayfield) of Athens, TN and Jeremy Millsaps (Linda Millsaps) of Athens, TN, one niece Candice Bucknor of Georgia, six great nephew Axel Osborne, Johnathan Millsaps, Axel Millsaps, Jonah Millsaps, Peyton Millsaps all of Athens, TN and Gavin Minichini of Georgia & one great niece Gracelynn Tooley, best friend/sister in law Beverly Millsaps of Ten Mile, TN.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening, October 9, 2019 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM in the Athens Chapel of Companion Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow the visitation time at 7:00 PM.
The family will assemble at the funeral home on Thursday, October 10, 2019 @ 10:00 AM and proceed to the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Ten Mile for the 11:00 AM interment and committal service. Brett Mashburn, Robbie Lucas, Hunter Brown, Ely Brown Tuff Ricker, Mike Smith and Jeremy Millsaps will serve as pallbearers.
