Gerald M. Mandarino

Gerald M. Mandarino, 75, a resident of Cleveland, TN went to be with the Lord on Wednesday evening, September 29, 2021 at his home. He was born on November 2, 1945 in Evergreen Park, IL a son of the late Baptist & Julia Mandarino. He was an honorably discharged veteran of the United States Navy after faithfully serving his country. After leaving the armed forces, he went on to serve as a Police Officer for many years before retirement. He was of the Catholic faith.
In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his grandparents Guiseppe & Soffia Mandarino, sister and brother-in-law Sandra & Thomas Webber and two nephews Thomas Byrd and Warren Bratcher.
Gerald leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving and devoted wife of 56 years Rosemary R. Mandarino, one son Michael Mandarino and wife Kathleen, one daughter Angela McCauley and husband Gene, three granddaughters Samantha Campos (Miguel), Angelle Vanderwarf and Bethany McCauley, three grandson Dakota Lollis, Cody McCauley and Jacob McCauley, one great grandson Jaydin Campos, five brothers Joseph Mandarino (Lois), Robert Mandarino (Karen), Richard Mandarino (Joyce), Donald Mandarino (Florence) and James Mandarino (Brenda), numerous nieces, nephews, other extended family members and a host of special friends.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 31, 2021 from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM in the Athens chapel of Companion Funeral Home located at 400 S White Street in Athens, TN. A service celebrating his life will began at 2:00 PM and will start with full military honors for Gerald.
He will later be laid to rest in the Barrancas National Cemetery at the Pensacola Naval Air Station.
