George Thomas Forman

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George Thomas "Scott" Forman of Chattanooga, TN who passed away unexpectedly on June 28, 2023, at the age of 55. He was born on May 13, 1968, in Chattanooga, TN and attended Ooltewah High School. Scott was lively and charismatic, always equipped with a story that would make you double over sideways in laughter. A friend to all and known by many, Scott will be remembered as an avid Tennessee VOLS fan.

Scott was preceded in death by his parents, George and Bettye Forman, and by his sister, Kelly Cronnon. He is survived by his daughter, Jacqueline (Nathanial) Gainer; his grandson, James "Ryan" Shipley; sisters, Sherry (Tom) Penney and Debra Gasparian; nephew, Bradley Cronnon; nieces, Amanda (Thom) Schneider and Crystal Cronnon; and by his great-nieces, McKayla (Jon) Keeton, Hannah (Seth) Taliaferro; Caitlyn Sherrill, Abigail and Kali Scoggins, and Hazel Alderman.

Funeral services and a celebration of life will be held at Stanley Heights Baptist Church, 1512 Mc Brien Road, Chattanooga, TN 37412, at 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 22, 2023, with Pastor Brent Baughman officiating.
